Quinao

Quinoa
    To cook add to sauce pan:
         2 cups of water
        1 cup of Quinoa
bring to boil, cover with tight lid and cook on low for 15 minutes.  
Let rest 5 minutes to absorb water, fluff.

Corn - to taste
Pesto (from Aldi's) - to taste
Cilantro - to taste
Salt and Pepper




Homemade Tortilla

My mom was visiting this week, we made tortilla's for the first time.  We should have made these a little thinner (but I love thicker tortillas), a press would be perfect.  

3 cups of flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
5 TB butter
1 cup hot water

Mix dry ingredients into mixer.  Add butter and water, mix with hand.
